1/7 Sailor Moon by lindas-workshop 1/7 Sailor Moon by lindas-workshop
This is my first anime garage kit. Since Sailor Moon was one of the very first anime/manga I got into many years ago, I thought it appropriate to have her as my first kit. I had a lot of fun building this kit (a bit of frustration too), and learned how to use an airbrush for the very first time. It's definitely been a learning process, but I think I've found my love for this hobby. The base was custom made, which was another 'first' for me.

The completed gallery can be seen at: www.lindaandlawrence.com/portf…

Thank you for looking!

Aamazing job for a first kit. My first one was much easier and my paint job not as smoother as yours!

That is AMAZING for a first time kit!! I wish my first kit looked like that! Course I hand painted mine rather than air brushed since I didn't have one.

Totally awesome

Thank you for the compliment. :) I was pretty excited to start on this hobby, so I got a bit carried away and started off with airbrushing right away. It was definitely a good experience and thankfully I find that I like airbrushing. I do have a kit that's 1/12 scale and I'm thinking about hand painting it since masking seems like it would be a nightmare on the tiny pieces. :P

You're welcome :) It really is! Everything looks so smooth. Oh I'll bet!! I have been as well, just feel things might be easier if I can get an airbrush. Lol that can happen. Once you get a feel for it, you'll be a pro in no time! That's good! My brother and dad used to airbrush stuff all the time. I really wish I had learned from them. I've learned alot now too with hand painting stuff. Rather than glooping paint on, thin it out and do multiple coats XD Then it won't make it as gloopy! Why I never thought of that, idk XD Might be best. You can probably airbrush some bigger parts and such, but maybe not the whole thing XD Unless you change the nozzle for smaller detail and such

You're welcome!

I really enjoyed your paint work, the skin tone was very good. And her eyes were excellent!
